Easier to just run HardwareGrowler though, which is an invaluable tool for keeping track of events on your system (part of the optional installs associated with Growl)

When your battery has a full charge.
When your battery is getting low so you can plug it in.
Therefore, do you really need to know when your battery is at 79%? Do you really need that ticking countdown of unneeded stress?

Here is what I do, I downloaded the free MiniBatteryStatus Dashboard Widget. Besides being in the Dashboard and thus not screaming at me “OMG!!! YOU HAVE 2 HOURS LEFT!!!”, it also has built in Growl notifications that let you know, gently, items #1 and #2 above.
