Do you have a laptop? If so, you likely have the battery displayed in your menubar and have never thought twice about it. Well, I’m going to ask you to think about it now. What do you really need to know?
- When your battery has a full charge.
- When your battery is getting low so you can plug it in.
Therefore, do you really need to know when your battery is at 79%? Do you really need that ticking countdown of unneeded stress?
Here is what I do, I downloaded the free MiniBatteryStatus Dashboard Widget. Besides being in the Dashboard and thus not screaming at me “OMG!!! YOU HAVE 2 HOURS LEFT!!!”, it also has built in Growl notifications that let you know, gently, items #1 and #2 above.
